For and against the Big Bang Theory
Many people are against the Theory of the Big Bang. According to this scientific theory, the Universe was created after a great explosion known as tthe Big Bang. The dimensions of space and time appeared after the zero time, that is, when
the explosion occurred. No one knows what happened before
this explosion. Speculations range from a compact
little ball that exploded from unknown causes to a possible cosmic
accident. The theory describes what happened from the
zero time onward.
The theory is well accepted by the scientific community and rejected by some groups known as creationist fundamentalists. The creation of the world described in the Bible does not refer to any explosion and therefore the creationists who literally follow Bible's text are against the Big Bang theory. However, there are Christians and Jews who
accept the theory and don't see incompatibility with
their faith in God.
