Creation vs. Evolution Links
Human Evolution
The debate between creationists and evolutionists heats up even more when the agenda contains discussion some understanding of the parts about the evolution of the most important species: humans. On one hand, it is believed that through divine intervention, God created all other species and, lastly, humans as they now exist. The creation account, as told in the beginning of the Book of Genesis, is regarded as dogma and as such is not open to questions or examination.
Creationists attempt to use the scientific method to prove that
certain events as told in the Bible, such as the Flood, really
happened, and then go on to strengthen the argument for the divine
creation of all species.
On the other hand, the explanation offered by science—that mankind arose from the ape as a result of the fusion of two sex cell chromosomes, which was a circumstantial action of the environment. Between primitive man
and modern man, many changes took place.
There are also intermediate positions, such as the the theory that evolution of species and the Universe does occur but is directed by God. This kind of evolution may have a purpose or
it could all be a whim of God or the gods or some superior intelligence
situated outside of the Universe. These positions serve to heat
up the arguments.
